The successful completion of this training is required before carers are approved as an authorised carer.
The training consists of six modules:

A new child in your home
Why children come into care
Understanding the impacts of trauma: Creating a healing home
Self-care and managing continuity
Bookings to attend the training are made through the Carer Assessment and Support team as part of your application process.
